US— Mobile app analytics firm Flurry has secured investment totalling $7m, following hot on the heels of its merger with rival Pinch Media.
Existing company investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital and Draper Richards took part in the financing round, which was led by venture capital firm InterWest Partners.
InterWest general partner Doug Pepper has now joined the Flurry board. The company says it will use the funds raised to “aggressively build out new services that increase application developer revenue” as well as hiring new staff and scaling-up its infrastructure.
Last week, Flurry announced a partnership with ComScore to meld its app consumption data, including frequency and length of use, user geographic location and information on new versus repeat usage, with ComScore’s existing mobile web audience measurement platform.
