US— Mobile app analytics firm Flurry has received $15m in funding from a group of private equity investors in its third round of financing.
Flurry said that it will use the cash to extend the reach of its Flurry Analytics and AppCircle services, expand its sales and marketing capabilities and speed up the development of new products.
The funding was led by Menlo Ventures with input from existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, InterWest, First Round Capital and Union Square Ventures. Menlo’s managing director Sonja Hoel Perkins will take a seat on Flurry’s board as a result of the investment.
Hoel Perkins said: “Flurry plays a fundamental role in the booming mobile application market. More importantly, Flurry has positioned itself like no other company to help mobile app developers solve critical audience segmentation, distribution and monetisation challenges.”
The firm raised $7m in financing in January this year. It is headed by president and CEO Simon Khalaf (pictured).
