User Vision attracts six-figure investment
The ‘six-figure’ equity investment was secured from the British Business Bank’s Investment Fund for Scotland (IFS) through appointed fund manager Maven.
The investment will support business development and marketing activity and expansion into more verticals within the wider digital transformation market.
User Vision said the funding marked ‘the next evolution’ for the business and would allow it to expand its team and approaches.
The company has also appointed Martin Dempsey, formerly of EY and APS Intelligence, as chief executive, while Adrian Astley Jones joins the business as chairman.
The value of the investment was not disclosed.
Founded in 2000, User Vision offers services focused on user research, user experience (UX) insight, experience design, strategy and accessibility, working with international and UK-based clients including Emirates and Aegon.
Chris Rourke, founder and executive director, industry engagement at User Vision, said: “From day one we have believed in research-led, evidence-driven inclusive design, and this new partnership will help us amplify our impact, enabling more organisations to deliver experiences that are not only exceptional, but accessible to all.”
Rob Stevenson, investment manager at Maven, said: “User Vision is a highly respected consultancy with deep expertise in user research and accessibility. As organisations increasingly recognise the importance of customer-centric design, the business is well placed to take advantage of growing demand for UX and accessibility services.
“We are delighted to be supporting the team as they scale, with the appointment of Martin Dempsey and Adrian Astley Jones bringing further strength to the leadership team.”
