Twitter offers event targeting
Event targeting is designed to allow advertisers to activate tweets around live moments. It has three primary tools: an event calendar, event insights and event activation.
The event calendar highlights major global events related to sport, holidays, festivals, TV, music and poltics in the US, UK, France, Brazil and Japan. Event insights offers information on the audience for those events based on the previous year’s data, including total audience reach, device breakdown and gender. The most engaging tweets from the previous year will also be available to view.
Event activation then allows the appropriate audience to be targeted, including using targeting types such as gender, language and device. The service is available globally now.
