US & UK – Accenture is planning to train thousands of its employees on AI research lab Anthropic’s model, Claude.

The move is part of Accenture’s expanded ‘multi-year’ partnership with Anthropic, which aims to help clients move from AI pilots to deploying AI within their businesses.

As part of the partnership, the two companies will launch the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, through which around 30,000 Accenture professionals will receive training, including engineers that will help embed Claude within client environments.

Accenture is also bringing Claude into its network of Innovation Hubs, which will be used as centres for AI co-creation and allow global clients to prototype, test, and validate AI solutions in controlled environments before deploying them within their businesses.

Additionally, as part of the business group, the companies will invest in a Claude Center of Excellence inside Accenture, creating an environment for the joint design of new AI offerings for specific needs, industry requirements and regulations.

Julie Sweet, chair and chief executive, Accenture, said the expansion of the partnership with Anthropic would help clients “accelerate the shift from experimenting with AI to using it as a catalyst for reinvention across the enterprise”.

Sweet added that “the combination of Anthropic’s Claude capabilities and Accenture’s AI expertise and industry and function domain knowledge” would mean organisations can  “embed AI everywhere responsibly and at speed – from software development to customer experience – to drive innovation, unlock new sources of growth and build their confidence.”
