BELGIUM— TNS has acquired retail and shopper research specialist Retail Insights, of Kontich, Belgium.
Agency founder Kristien Laureys (pictured) and her team of five will join TNS as of 1 January, with Laureys continuing to the lead the business as a division of TNS Belgium.
Laureys established Retail Insights in 1996, prior to which she spent seven years working in sales and marketing roles at Lu (now Kraft Europe).
TNS Belgium CEO Dominique Vercraeye said the acquisition paves the way for the rollout of TNS’s suite of retail and shopper research tools in the Benelux market while adding “very talented and expert shopper researchers to our business”.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
