North America People UK

US/UK— Kantar-owned The Futures Company, the trends research agency created through merger of Henley Centre HeadlightVision and Yankelovich, has named a new management team following the resignation of its chief executive, executive chairman and managing director.

Sian Davies, Crawford Hollingworth and Sarah Davies have all handed in their notice and their departures are “impending”. The firm said that it had no comment to make on why the trio were leaving or on what their future plans are.

In the aftermath of the mass resignation Will Galgey (pictured) has been promoted to global CEO after serving as UK managing director since 2007.

Executive vice chairman J. Walker Smith has been been moved up to executive chairman, COO Kevin Brown becomes CEO for North America and deputy managing director Sarah King has been given the UK MD role.

Eric Salama, CEO of Kantar, said: “Having known Will since his early days as a WPP Fellow it is a particular pleasure to see him take the helm of The Futures Company.

“Together with a new management team I am confident that they will drive the company in new and innovative directions, delivering more of what The Futures Company is known for – the most robust and inspiring insights and foresights and the most innovative and applicable futures techniques and future-facing research technologies.”

US-based Yankelovich merged with the UK’s Henley Centre HeadlightVision in early 2008.
