UK — Kantar’s global research consultancy TNS has appointed Will Galgey as CEO for TNS UK, days after it emerged that its previous CEO Maureen Duffy had left the company.
Galgey (main picture) will take over the TNS role from mid-January 2015 and report into TNS Global CEO, Richard Ingleton. He will have overall responsibility for the strategy, culture and performance of the TNS UK business.
Galgey has been with WPP for 17 years, working across numerous businesses; during that time he has served on the Kantar operating board as well as ultimately being made global CEO of The Futures Company in 2010.
On the same day, TNS also announced the appointment of Michelle Harrison (pictured, right) as global head of political and social from January 2015. Harrison is currently CEO of social research agency, TNS BMRB, and was also a director at The Henley Centre for 10 years. Her new role will involve extending the business into emerging democratic markets worldwide.
Richard Ingleton, Global CEO of TNS said: “Our future depends upon our ability to bring great research solutions to our clients. We have a real focus on where we are going and want to have leaders in our business who live to be with clients.”
