Synovate names Australia CEO to new global role

AUSTRALIA— Synovate has appointed Brent Stewart to the newly created role of global chief executive of strategic units, from his current position as CEO for Australia and New Zealand.

In his new role Stewart will be responsible for the firm’s activities in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, China, Japan, Latin America, Iberia and North and South Asia.

The firm has also announced the promotion of Mike Cassidy to managing director for Australia, beginning next year. Cassidy will replace Julie Beeck, who will stay on with the firm to manage key client relationships.

Cassidy has been with Synovate for the past four years and was responsible for opening the firm’s Melbourne office in 2005.
