Johnson (pictured) joins from data business Talend where he was senior vice-president and chief information officer. He has also worked at DocuSign, Informatica and Deloitte Consulting.

At SurveyMonkey, Johnson will oversee its information technology strategy as well as leading on security, data infrastructure and business intelligence.

Tom Hale, president at SurveyMonkey, said: “Eric will be a great addition as we execute our growth plan and aim to exceed our own standards in safeguarding both company and customer data.”

Johnson’s appointment follows swiftly on the announcement of three new execs at SurveyMonkey – DuVal Hicks, vice-president of sales operations; Lara Sasken Lindenbaum, vice-president of communications; and Denis Scott, vice-president of growth marketing. Earlier in the year Debbie Clifford joined as its new chief financial officer.
