STW launches standalone fieldwork business

AUSTRALIA— Advertising and marketing group STW has turned the data collection capabilities of its research consultancy AMR Interactive into a standalone fieldwork firm, Touchpoint Research Australia.

Touchpoint Research Australia will offer clients a range of CATI interviewing, data processing, coding and data entry services and run a fieldwork room equipped with 85 stations.

Helena Harrison, who will serve as operations director at the new firm, said: “Online research has certainly seen rapid growth in recent years. But we know that clients still want to have direct conversations with their customers, both existing and potential. CATI has a vital role to play in providing key insights and continues to be used extremely successfully in the research mix.”

STW’s CEO Michael Connaghan (pictured) added: “We felt the time was right to have a quality-driven, experienced provider in the marketplace. Touchpoint’s established and experienced team also has unique insight having been part of a full-service agency, so they understand how data collection fits within the broader insights category.”
