Skopos backs political app developer

UK – Market research consultancy Skopos has invested in technology firm HearMe Scientific.

Founded in 2016, HearMe Scientific develops digital engagement and communications applications. The company built a digital lobbying platform HearMe MP, currently in beta, which can be used by citizens to contact MPs directly. The app is expected to launch in 2020.

Skopos will provide working capital in exchange for equity. Further details of the investment were not disclosed.

The company will share data and analysis facilities with HearMe Scientific and the two firms will work together on a joint venture to develop new insight apps for data collection, analysis and insight delivery.

Andrew Sheldon, founder of HearMe Scientific, said: “Partnering with data and research experts Skopos gives us further impetus to explore not just engagement, but analysis and consulting. Our developers are already investigating new apps for insight, and with its expertise and global reach, we’ll explore more with Skopos.”

Skopos is a full-service business insights agency with offices in London and Cologne.
