US— Online panel provider uSamp has acquired web research agency DMS Insights from AOL.
DMS – also known as Digital Marketing Services – will keep its name and the firm’s management and production team will remain in place.
The combined panel offering from the two business totals 2.7 million respondents – including DMS’s 100,000-strong Hispanic panel.
According to uSamp, AOL will remain a “strategic partner” of DMS and continue to use the firm as a provider of online research services.
Matt Dusig (pictured), uSamp co-founder and CEO, said: “This is a merging of two companies with similar visions for serving market research, and we’re thrilled to bring DMS Insights onboard. DMS has pioneered router and river technologies, and is well-known for its heritage of extensive full-service research over the past 15 years.”
Earlier this week uSamp was awarded $10m in private equity funding by OpenView Ventures Partners.
