Rep Data adds MCP feature to Research Desk platform

US – Data quality company Rep Data has launched a tool based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to allow users to create and manage projects across large language models (LLMs).

The tool, called Research Desk MCP Server, allows users to connect to LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude, using supported AI tools to interact with Rep Data’s Research Desk platform using natural language.

Users can use the tool to create and manage projects, configure project parameters and generate survey deployment URLs.

Rep Data said it would add to the MCP Server throughout the rest of the year, including deepening integration across the Rep Data research platform.

Kyle Cousans, product director at Rep Data, added that the MCP Server “gives us a way to make Research Desk accessible across the broader AI ecosystem” as well as giving users “the freedom to work with the AI tools they choose and imagine entirely new ways to build research into what they do”.

Patrick Stokes, founder and chief executive at Rep Data, said: “Our vision is to build an AI-native Research OS for the complete, end-to-end survey experience. Giving researchers the ability to set up and launch fieldwork through natural language is an important step toward that future.”
