Rentrak hires LogicLab’s Wilson to work with national TV clients

North America People

US— LogicLab president Chris Wilson has left the marketing analytics business to join media research firm Rentrak in the role of president of national linear television.

Rentrak says Wilson (pictured) will be responsible for building and maintaining key strategic relationships with national advertisers, agencies and national TV networks, while Cathy Hetzel, president of the Advance Media & Information division, takes on expanded responsibilities for international and mobile TV and other new providers of TV services.

Wilson had been with LogicLab since September 2009, when the business was launched as a standalone venture by database marketing firm Merkle.

Prior to LogicLab, he was president at both Experian Research Services as well as Simmons Market Research Bureau, which was bought by Experian.

Wilson also previously worked for Scarborough Research.

Rentrak CEO Bill Livek said: “I am excited to welcome Chris to Rentrak as we continue to expand our reach as the TV database currency in a world where advertisers, agencies and television networks are using a basket of currencies to drive the growth of their business.”

The company measures television viewing habits through analysis of clickstream data sourced via set-top boxes.
