Reddit hires Emea and Australia insights head

US – Social media giant Reddit has appointed Robert Turnbull as head of insights for Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) and Australia.

Robert Turnbull

Turnbull (pictured) was previously head of data solutions and insights for Emea at Samsung Ads and also spent more than seven years at Twitter, most recently as research manager.

At Reddit, Turnbull will partner with the company’s marketing and sales teams in Emea and Australia to help advise advertisers on the benefits of advertising on Reddit, identifying and translating insights from conversations and communities that are most relevant in each market.

In his new role, Turnbull is also responsible for leading the Reddit insights team’s growth in these regions.

Rob Gaige, global head of insights at Reddit, said: ”As Reddit connects more global brands with our 100,000+ communities, it’s important that we understand the nuances of the markets we serve.

“Rob knows how to turn local insights into ideas that enable advertisers to authentically connect with the audiences that matter most to them.”
