Research technology firm Nurago (Germany) has hired former Axel Springer executive Ruth Japp as senior consultant for product management.

Community builder Passenger (US) has appointed Derek Sawchuck, ex-Itracks, and Jason Butka as senior community strategists in its business development team.

Vision Critical has hired Martin Grupe as director of business development for the German market.

Populus Data Solutions (UK) has appointed Alan Renny as data processing director, Andy Taylor as survey programming director and Tim Hughes as director of survey services.

Discovery Research (UK) has promoted Dani Verrall to research executive and Michael Webley to associate director.
