The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: Millward Brown, Lowe’s, Nissan, SPA Future Thinking and more.

STACY GRAIKO joins Millward Brown’s qual network Firefly as a director. She comes aboard from Sentient Decision Science where she was VP of qualitative research and brand strategy.

Research Now has announced that ADAM PORTNER has taken charge of the former Peanut Labs client development team, following the acquisition of the firm and departure of its sales chief Sean Case. In his new role as senior vice president of client development, Portner is responsible for teams in US West, Midwest and Canada.

Dialsmith, manufacturer of the Perception Analyzer has named CHRIS BONIFACE as its new client relations manager in the UK.

JUSTIN GUTMANN has been co-opted to the board at the Market Research Benevolent Association. He replaces PETER BARTRAM who has stepped down after ten years service.

US home improvement chain Lowe’s has promoted RICHARD MALTSBARGER to senior vice president of strategy. He was previously VP of strategic planning and has also served as VP of research and director of consumer analytics.

GEORGINA CLARKE has been promoted to director of quant research at NMG Consulting in the UK. She joined the firm in 2008.

Nissan Americas has moved vice president of market intelligence DAVE MAZUR to the newly created position of vice president of market intelligence, business transformation and corporate services. He joined the company in 2006 from General Motors.

Online researcher InsightExpress has hired JILL COLT as a director and JOHN DICKERSON and KEVIN DOBROSKY as account executives in its custom marketing research team.

Pharma analytics firm Qforma has hired TED PINE and DEVON REIMER as vice presidents of business development, and MICHAEL MURPHY as a software engineer.

TAESUN KIM has joined Texas-based real estate specialist Tango Management Consulting as senior market research director. Kim will be involved in the development of customer analytics for marketing, merchandising, planning and evaluation.

JUDITH HENDERSON has joined SPA Future Thinking in the UK as research director, where she will spearhead the firm’s health and beauty division. She joins from Conquest Research where she was a board director.

RDSI in the UK has promoted EMMA O’CONNELL to research director, KATRINA MOYLAN to associate director and JENNI WELLING to research manager. The firm has also hired SUZANNE CLEMO as a research executive.

Confirmit has appointed DAN BERNARD as director of strategic accounts in its New York office. Bernard has spent more than 10 years in market research sales, most recently at Marketing Systems Group.
