The latest appointments and promotions from around the industry, including news from GfK Custom Research North America, TNS Media Intelligence, The Modellers and more.

GfK Custom Research North America has appointed TONI SHIELDS as senior vice president of GfK Roper public affairs and media and GfK Roper Consulting, where she will lead public opinion, corporate reputation and consumer trends research. JUNE WALLACH has been appointed as senior vice president of GfK Roper Consulting, where she will focus on the firm’s signature consumer trends services. Both are returning to GfK after spells with Global TGI and Nielsen respectively.

TNS Media Intelligence in the US has hired RON MULLIKEN as senior vice president of agency sales and LIBBY MACDONALD as senior vice president of business development. Mulliken has previously worked in a number of media roles while MacDonald rejoins the firm after spells with Marketing Tools and Marketing Evolution.

KATHERINE DUNHAM has been appointed to the new position of strategy consultant for nations and regions at the Radio Advertising Bureau in the UK. She will start the role in January after leaving her position at WPP-owned Mediaedge:cia.

US ad agency R2C Group has appointed JOE BIENVENUE as a market research analyst. He joins from retirement homes group Encore Senior Living where he was market research manager.

HOLLY BOSSERT has been named senior account manager for the East Coast at Lightspeed Research in the US. She joins from Press Ganey Associates, where she was regional mid-Atlantic account executive.

Direct response media agency Mercury Media in the US has appointed MICHAEL GOODMAN as senior director of analytics. He was previously at Yankee Group where he was director of consumer research.

JOHN LOVETT has joined Web Analytics Demystified in the US as a senior partner. Lovett was formerly a senior analyst at an independent research agency.

LAURA KIPPEN has been appointed senior vice president of client services at US advanced analytics agency The Modellers.

US research agency InsightsNow has appointed MARK HOUSTON as chief marketing officer. He joins from PeanutLabs, where he led all domestic and international marketing efforts.

IFF Research in the UK has promoted JANE BARLOW to associate director, where she will work with the brand marketing and communications team.
