The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research industry. This week: Dunkin’ Brands, Bravo Media, Synovate, Swift Research, Quant Presky Maves, B2B International, The Oxford Research Agency, eXelate and more.

UK-based customer intelligence firm Business Logic Systems has appointed RICHARD LEWIS as its chief sales officer for the EMEA region. He joins from Expedite Consulting, a business he founded and managed.

In the US JOHN COSTELLO has joined Dunkin’ Brands, owner of Dunkin’ Donuts, as chief global customer and marketing officer. He was previously president of Nielsen Marketing Research, chief global marketing officer at Yahoo and senior vice president of sales and marketing at Pepsi-Cola.

US broadcaster Bravo Media has hired ERIC CAVANAUGH as vice president of programme research, where he will be responsible for all the company’s consumer research efforts. He joins from Zenith Media where he led the research team in the strategic resources group.

OOH FEI RU has been appointed associate director of Synovate’s quant research team in Malaysia. She had spent the past six years working at Global Shell Lubricants as insights manager.

Swift Research in the UK has hired CLAIRE HODGSON as a research executive. She joins from The Leadership Factor where she was a financial services researcher.

US ad agency Mullen has named DINESH GOPINATH as executive vice president and director of strategic analytics. Gopinath was previously at ChoiceStream where he was chief solutions officer.

BERNIE SILVERMAN has joined US customer retention specialist DataCo as vice president of market research. Silverman has previously held market research positions at Maritz, Customer Development Corporation and Signature Group.

UK data marketing agency Quant Presky Maves has appointed LINDSAY COWAN to lead its new insight division. She joins from Research International where she was global head of shopper insight.

B2B International has appointed three new research executives. In the UK, AFSHAN BHATTI and SIMI DHAWAN have been hired while EVE LENKOWSKY has joined the firm’s New York office. Bhatti was previously a researcher for the Prison Service and Lenkowsky was a qual research specialist at Maritz.

LEE ROBERTS has been appointed to the board of directors at InfoGroup in the US. He is currently president and CEO of BlueWater Management Consulting.

The Oxford Research Agency in the UK has hired MARTIN BROCK as associate director and JAMES LEWIS as a trainee research executive. Brock was previously with ACNielsen and Lewis is a recent graduate.

ARNAB DRAS has been appointed managing director of market research and strategy at advisory firm Roubini Global Economics. He joins from Dresdner Kleinwort and will be based at Roubini’s London office.

Online targeting data startup eXelate has appointed JON MANDEL to its advisory board. He was most recently CEO of Nielsen’s NielsenConnect division.

KIMBERLY ZIOMEK has been appointed as director of market intelligence services at US research agency RDA Group. She has spent more than 20 years working the automotive research industry but was most recently a career advisor.

US data protection and IT security firm Sophos has appointed ARABELLA HALLAWELL as vice president of corporate strategy, where one of her tasks will be driving consumer research. She joins from Gartner, where she was vice president of research.

The Advertising Research Foundation in the US has added two new co-chairs to its video council. They are TODD CUNNINGHAM, senior vice president of strategic insights and research at MTV Networks, and DAVID MARANS, senior vice president of research at A&E Television Networks.

PAUL SZWARC has joined Facts International in the UK as a research director. He joins from Network Research where he spent eight years as a board director.

Illuminas in the UK has appointed KITZY KUMARI as a senior research executive. She joins from MediaCom where she was a research executive.

REBECCA RAMSAY has joined HPI Research in the UK as a research executive. She previously worked at Conquest Research and Diageo.
