Penny Young to leave NatCen for House of Commons
Young, who has been the organisation’s chief executive since 2009, will leave to take up the post of House of Commons librarian and director general, Information Services.
The exact timing of her departure has not been announced.
“I’ll miss leading NatCen through the next stage of its journey as a distinctive proposition in the British social research landscape,” Young said.
“Equally, I am looking forward to working with committed and professional staff in the House of Commons Department of Information Services, where there is real opportunity to ensure that trusted, relevant and speedy information forms the bedrock of debate and accountability, which in turn will support the innovative work going on to achieve a more trusting relationship between citizens and parliament”.
