NatCen names Doggett as interim COO

UK — Phil Doggett has been named as NatCen’s interim chief operating officer, to replace Penny Young.

Doggett was most recently interim finance director at the National Film and Television School, and has held interim posts at a number of higher education establishments.

“Phil has a strong financial and commercial background, and also experience of working with research departments in universities, so he will be well placed to lead NatCen until we appoint a permanent CEO,” said Bob Burgess, chair of NatCen.

Penny Young is joining the House of Commons as librarian and director general, Information Services in mid-May. The recruitment process for the company’s new CEO is underway.
