Overseas expansion on the cards for TORA
France and the US will be the first port of call, said a company spokesman, though exact locations for new offices have yet to be identified. Staff recruitment is currently underway, and TORA hopes to have teams in place and established by the summer.
Chris Sinclair and Andrew Tharme, co-owners of the business, have restructured their responsibilities to accomodate the planned expansion, with Sinclair becoming CEO with a remit to drive international growth while Tharme becomes managing director of the UK business.
Sinclair said: “We are seeing considerable demand for our unique products across the globe and are looking forward to providing clients with a fresh and exciting approach to developing and launching better global food and drink products.”
TORA says it already counts 20 of the world’s top 50 food and drinks companies as clients. In March it hired Jan Worsley, the former head of customer insights for fruit smoothie firm Innocent, as an associate director.
