Ogilvy handed regional role at Effective Measure

UAE— Brendon Ogilvy has been appointed regional director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at online audience measurement firm Effective Measure.

He was previously COO at Dubai-based research agency Real Opinions, a licensee of Effective Measure’s audience measurement solution (also called Effective Measure). Ogilvy had been heading the firm’s Dubai office since June of this year, when company founder Dan Healy relocated to the UK to set up a new office.

Ogilvy (pictured) joined Real Opinions in 2008 from YouGovSiraj, where he was research director. He has previously worked clientside as a research analyst for Emirates Airlines and on the agencyside with TNS NFO and Phoenix Research, where he was a senior research analyst and research manager respectively.

He joins Effective Measure as the company opens a new headquarters in the United Arab Emirates “to cope with the demand for its services in the region”. Recent business wins from local web publishers include ITP, 7Days and Al Bawaba.
