Numerator updates inflation data measures

The inflation measure is similar to the indexes used by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis and tracks price changes over time, seeking to capture how consumer buying behaviour adapts in response.
The data covers around 20% of the consumption basket featuring in the Consumer Price Index and Personal Consumption Expenditures index, and will focus on US consumers.
In addition, the data will draw on item-level transactions from 200,000 US households, geographically and demographically representative and covering categories including groceries, household goods and health and beauty.
The data will be updated monthly, and includes expenditure and product shares by sector.
