Norstat expands to Spain with MD hire

NORWAY/SPAIN – Data collection company Norstat has entered the Spanish market and appointed Jordi Quirós as managing director for the business’ operations in the country.

The expansion into Spain follows Norstat’s acquisition of Offerwise, which was announced earlier this year. Offerwise, which was headquartered in Brazil, had several clients in Spain, which is Europe’s fifth biggest market research sector.

Quirós (pictured), who is from Spain, currently serves as managing director for Norstat in Latin America, and will hold both roles concurrently. He was previously head of sales for Spain and Latin America at Offerwise.

Following Quirós’ appointment, Norstat will be looking to add to its team in Spain as well as increasing investment in its consumer panel.

Erling Eriksen, chief executive at Norstat, said: “Spain is a natural next step for Norstat. It gives us a direct presence across all major European markets and strengthens our ability to support clients locally.

“We are investing in panel capacity and building a local team, and with Jordi’s experience, we have the right person to lead this expansion.”

Quirós added: “What makes Norstat’s entry into Spain a particularly exciting opportunity is that it allows us to build on established relationships and experience in the market.

“I have spent many years working with clients both in Spain and across Latin America, and by combining that knowledge with Norstat’s resources and data collection offering, we are well placed to become a partner of choice for clients in Spain who need quantitative and qualitative data they can rely on.”
