Nielsen to take a long, hard look beyond the TV set – report

US — Nielsen looks set to expand its definition of television and begin reporting data on how much time people spend viewing TV content via online and console-based streaming services, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Citing sources, the entertainment trade publication says the decision follows a meeting of the What Nielsen Measures Committee – a group of TV network owners, ad agencies and advertisers who make recommendations to the ratings firm.
