New chief revenue officer at Zappi

US – Consumer insights platform Zappi has appointed Mike D’Aloia as chief revenue officer.

Mike DAloia, CRO of Zappi

In his new role, D’Aloia will lead Zappi’s global sales and customer organisations, working closely with chief executive Aaron Kechley. He will be based in Zappi’s Boston office.

D’Aloia joins Zappi with 25 years of experience leading commercial teams in software-as-a-service (SaaS), insights and data-led organisations.

He was most recently executive vice-president and head of sales at market intelligence platform Quid, where he led the company’s global revenue strategy. Prior to that, he held senior global commercial roles at Brandwatch and Forrester.

Kechley said: “From our very first conversation with Mike, it became abundantly clear that his experience, passion and leadership were the perfect fit for Zappi’s next phase of growth.

“Mike is a team builder at heart. His deep experience in coaching and leading high-performance commercial teams in the SaaS insights space will be invaluable.”

The appointment follows recent changes in Zappi’s leadership. Founder Steve Phillips stepped down as chief executive of the company in October last year, with Aaron Kechley taking up the role and Philips becoming executive chair and chief innovation officer. President Ryan Barry left the business earlier this year.

Zappi has also appointed Manjula Kandasamy as vice-president of go-to-market operations. In the newly created role, she will focus on leading operational excellence across Zappi’s commercial organisation. Kandasamy has previously held senior roles at Roku and Dataxu.

The company also recently appointed Ian Myszenski as vice-president of revenue operations, further strengthening its commercial foundation. With leadership experience at Pinterest and Google, Myszenski will focus on optimising systems, tools and insights.
