Nielsen to offer brand-level data for streaming devices and game consoles

US — TV ratings provider Nielsen has announced that it will provide TV-connected device data by brand, including XBox, Roku, Apple TV and PlayStation.

According to a story on tvtechnology.com, the brand-level data will be available from April 25; sampling will include connected devices such as XBox, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, PlayStation, Nintendo and Wii boxes. 

Nielsen will also include data from enabled smart TVs.

Data will come from Nielsen’s national TV panel, comprising 40,000 households made up of 100,000 TV sets and over 50,000 TV-connected devices.
