Nielsen reports 5% revenue growth for 2015

US – Nielsen reported revenues of $6.2 billion for the year ended 31 December 2015, an increase of 5% on a constant currency basis, compared with the previous year.

Its Buy segment saw revenues of $3.3bn, a 5% increase at constant currency.  Revenue from its developed markets rose 3.5% while emerging markets were up 8.5% (all at constant currency).

Nielsen said the segment’s growth was due to its investment in coverage, news client wins and retailer success.

Its Watch segment achieved a 4.9% growth to $2.8bn (constant currency) driven by its Audience Measurement of Video and Text.
