New framework to measure martech success

The ‘Apex Martech Matrix’ offers research and benchmarking, aimed at helping businesses to select and implement software tools to improve marketing efficiency.
Over the past decade, MartechTribe has run benchmarking probes to extract insights from a data warehouse of 15,000 customer technology solutions and around 1,600 cross-industry marketing software stacks.
The tool pinpoints the top 30% of companies within each industry, ranked by revenue per employee ratios, based on annual reports.
One of the insights highlighted by the new framework is that top performers are those who prioritise translating capabilities into measurable business impact.
MartechTribe also identified common points in underperforming stacks, including data fragmentation and attribution ‘blindness’.
Frans Riemersma, founder and chief executive, MartechTribe, said the framework would offer chief marketing officers “a way to evidence a business case with proven value and to get rid of doubt that has mired past martech investments”.
