Netquest’s Bretcha elected Esomar president

THE NETHERLANDS – Joaquim Bretcha has been elected as the new president of Esomar for the 2019/2020 council term, while Kristin Luck has been elected to the position of vice-president.

Based in Barcelona, Bretcha has been an Esomar council member since 2015. He is currently international director at Netquest and a member of Mindprober’s advisory board.

Bretcha said: “I look forward to further broadening awareness of the importance of data ethics and our code, attracting more tech-driven and analytical emerging players and growing the community of next-generation researchers.” 

Luck, founder of Luck Collective and Women in Research, is based in the US and has also been a member of the Esomar council since 2015.

Anne-Sophie Damelincourt (France), Lucy Davison (UK), Umesh Kumar (India), Nikki Lavoie (France), Alain Mizrahi (Uruguay), Nijat Mammadbayli (UK), BV Bradeep (UK) and Ray Poynter (UK) have also been elected to the council.

Niels Schillewaert will remain on the council in an ex-officio capacity as past president for the 2019/2020 term.
