MDC Research takes over Ecker
US — Portland-based market research and consulting firm MDC Research has bought focus group facility Ecker & Associates.
Although it is an asset purchase, MDC’ s chief of operations Doug Verigin said it was more like a merger.
“It’s more than us coming in and taking over; we’re happy to have the opportunity to work with them,” he said.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
