MarketStar and NPD Group strike market intelligence alliance

US— Retail research specialist The NPD Group has formed a strategic alliance with Ominicon-owned MarketStar to offer clients a range of market planning services.

MarketStar, which specialises in providing retail clients with outsourced sales and marketing services, will combine its capabilities in field sales-team deployment with NPD’s point-of-sale data with the aim of helping consumer technology companies analyse sales trends by region and customise field sales strategies.
