MarketShare Partners raises $10m through equity offering

US— Marketing analytics firm MarketShare Partners has secured $10m in funding through a new equity offer, according to documents filed with the Securites and Exchange Commission.

It is not clear what the funds will be used for but the firm has been expanding both at home and abroad in recent months. In February, MarketShare acquired MarketingNPV, a firm specialising in measuring marketing performance, while it teamed up with Japanese ad agency Hakuhodo in November to bring its services to key Asian markets.

MarketShare is backed by Elevation Partners, an investment firm co-founded by U2 singer Bono, which took an undisclosed minority stake in the company in 2009.
