M3 Global Research acquires French research agency

US – Healthcare and life science research firm M3 Global Research has acquired qualitative research services business Med Planet.

The acquisition will strengthen M3 Global Research’s presence in Europe and in the life sciences, and follows on from the May 2022 acquisitions of German agency Pharma-insight.

Med Planet’s chief executive Maillou Enselme will remain in post to lead the brand following the acquisition.

M3 Global Research has a presence in France, the UK, Germany and Sweden in Europe, and carries out research with more than six million physicians across Europe, the US and Asia.

Med Planet was set up in 1997 and is headquartered in Lyon, with a focus on life sciences research.

Anton Richter, chief executive at M3 Global Research, said: “We’re proud to announce further expansion of our European operations.

“Med Planet’s reputation for excellence in their field precedes them, and France is an important market for M3 and our clients, who will find Med Planet’s on-the-ground local expertise invaluable.”

Enselme added: “We’re delighted to join M3 and look forward to the future growth of our organisation thanks to the extensive investment in resources and technology that M3 will deliver.”
