M3 Global Research acquires Australian fieldwork business
Ekas is a Sydney-based fieldwork provider with a strong focus on healthcare, and the acquisition will strengthen M3 Global Research’s healthcare panel.
The acquisition, which is for an undisclosed fee, will also help consolidate M3 Global Research’s position in Asia-Pacific, and marks its first entry into the Australian market.
Ekas will continue to operate under its existing leadership of Matthew Thomas and Jaxon Thomas post-acquisition.
Anton Richter, chief executive of M3 Global Research, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ekas to the M3 family.
“Their market-leading position and strong provenance in healthcare, combined with local expert knowledge is synonymous with M3’s global proposition, and we look forward to the opportunities a truly global presence will present to our client base.”
Matthew Thomas added: “We’re excited about the opportunities that this investment represents for the business and for our clients.
“We are fiercely proud of our heritage and company culture and are looking forward to seeing in the next chapter in Ekas’s future supported by M3’s commitment to innovation in market research technologies and panel growth.”
