UK & AUSTRALIA – Insight and strategy consultancy The Leading Edge has appointed its Asia Pacific chief executive Gillian O’Sullivan as global CEO.
O’Sullivan (pictured) takes up the global role as Chris Paxton, EMEA chief executive, moves to sister agency Hotwire Communications to take up the role of chief strategy officer, effective from the start of February.
Based in the company’s Sydney office, O’Sullivan was appointed to lead the APAC region in September 2018. Prior to joining The Leading Edge, she was managing director at Ipsos Marketing for ANZ.
Managing partner Isobel Smyth will lead the EMEA region, reporting directly to O’Sullivan.
The Leading Edge and Hotwire are owned by Sydney-based marketing services group Enero.
Matt Melhuish, chief executive at Enero, said: “Gillian has worked in research and brand management for more than 20 years, most recently as managing director at Ipsos Marketing, but she has also worked at AMR, Nielsen, and Roy Morgan. She will continue to bring dynamism and enthusiasm to The Leading Edge across the APAC region and around the world.”
O’Sullivan added: “We’re looking forward to continue working with Chris on our shared clients with Hotwire and I’m excited to be working with Isobel to realise our potential in EMEA.”
