The Leading Edge retitles leadership team
The company’s five directors, based in London and Sydney, will now be known as managing partners, moving away from discipline focused team silos.
In the EMEA region, Isobel Smyth, head of cultural and consumer insight (pictured, left) and head of retail strategy Daniela Fernandez (pictured, right) will become managing partners, continuing to report to EMEA managing director Chris Paxton (pictured, centre).
The company’s head of strategy and deployment, Florencia Tarelli, head of qualitative strategy Dominic McCarthy and APAC managing director Lee Naylor also all become managing partners.
The managing partners will form a newly established global team with Paxton and the company’s acting chief executive Steve Watson, with the aim of developing a three-year growth strategy.
Paxton said the move reflects increased demand from clients for a more consultancy-based multi-disciplinary approach. He said: “We’ve found that clients want experienced consultants to solve their business challenges, not just people to conduct different research methodologies. All too often, a brief is instantly translated into a methodology that fits with the person’s capabilities, whereas our leaders blend the teams to provide multiple perspectives and targeted expertise.”
