UK – Agriculture and animal health market customer insights provider Kynetec has appointed Paul Walker to the company’s executive committee as chief operating officer for crop market and customer insights.

Walker (pictured) joins Kynetec from financial insights organisation Consumer Intelligence, where he was the COO, leading the client-facing arm of the business. He has more than 25 years’ experience within the field of data, insight and research, having spent the majority of his career at Nielsen.

Walker’s appointment replaces the current COO Richard Jameson, who is taking a step back from the business and who will continue to support Kynetec on specific projects on a part-time consultancy basis.

At Kynetec, Walker will be responsible for managing the crop market and customer insights team of more than 400 research professionals, across 23 countries globally. Kynetec runs farmers’ panel FarmTrak in around 50 countries, plus the Sigma tool which provides market insights for global strategic decisions in crop protection and seed.

Kynetec also provides bespoke client-driven customer insights and analytics on business topics related to opportunity assessment, pricing, user experience, communication, concept testing, segmentation, branding, customer experience and channel and Salesforce.

Kynetec chief executive Daniel Wirth commented: “I’m very excited to have Paul onboard. As we expand our advanced analytics capabilities, establish our position as a leader in sustainable agriculture and food production, and prioritise investments in innovative digital technologies, Paul’s business acumen and track record of team leadership will enable us to continue to meet our customers’ evolving information needs.”
