Klipfel leads The NPD Group’s Europe toys division

US – Data analytics and POS business, The NPD Group, has appointed François Klipfel as president of its Europe toys business.

Klipfel (pictured) was previously global vice-president of sales for AR start-up, Augment. Prior to that he had worked for 25 years for GfK France, ultimately as its deputy managing director and member of the management board of the South West Europe region. He began his career in sales at Procter & Gamble.

In his new role at NPD, he will be responsible for developing NPD’s toys practice in Europe, and starting new initiatives in adjacent industries such as entertainment. He will report into Gerhard Hausruckinger, NPD Group President for Europe and APAC.

Hausruckinger said: “François has a proven track record as a successful leader, bringing with him a strong reputation for personnel development and team building. His experience and proven ability to deliver results will be an asset as The NPD Group executes on its strategic priorities and plans for sustainable growth.”
