The tool will offer scheduled air traffic data, with users able to access data on passenger and nationality volume across 550 airports globally to inform airport retail investment decisions.

It has been developed by NPD Travel Retail, which specialises in traveller statistics using NPD’s retail point-of-sale tracking, and ForwardKeys, which processes and analyses flight booking transactions across air reservation systems, selected airlines and tour operators.

Garry Stasiulevicuis, president, NPD Travel Retail, The NPD Group, said: “By partnering with ForwardKeys, we are utilising the best data sources available in the market, such as its exclusive access to the Chinese passenger within TravelSky. Our clients will be able to truly understand every facet of the global traveller’s whereabouts.”
