Kantar Media acquires Newsaccess

IRELAND – WPP-owned Kantar Media has acquired Newsaccess, a provider of multi-channel media monitoring in Ireland.

The acquisition is intended to enhance Kantar Media’s reputation, PR monitoring and evaluation capabilities. 

Newsaccess was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Dublin. Its revenues for the year ended December 31 2015 were €2.3m, with gross assets at the same time around €1.8m. 

According to the Irish Times, Andy Brown, chief executive and chairman of Kantar Media (pictured), said that the acquisition reflects the importance of the Irish market to the conference. 

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
