SINGAPORE— Piers Lee has been elected the new president of the Market Research Society of Singapore with plans to create new certifications for data collection.
Lee (pictured), who is managing director of Kadence International, has worked in the industry for 17 years and first moved to Asia in 2000 to join AMI, which is now part of Synovate.
He said: “One of our key challenges is maintaining industry standards as market competition becomes increasingly fierce. Next year I will personally reach out to clients, suppliers and interviewers to better understand their concerns and issues.
“Based on this feedback, the society plans to bring in new certifications, specific to primary data collection, to enhance overall confidence in the services being used by clients.”
Lee will serve at least a year as head of the association, which boasts more than 200 members.
