Ipsos sells MPG to its former president

US — Market research company Ipsos is to sell its theatrical research division, the Motion Picture Group (MPG) to a private investment group.

Former MPG president Vincent Bruzzese leads the group and Ipsos and MPG have agreed a three-year partnership to ensure a seamless transition for clients.

Ipsos said that despite pioneering research in the movie industry, it wished to focus on other “fast developing and more scalable offers” to the media and technology space fitting with its longer term strategy.
