FRANCE – Didier Truchot, chairman of Ipsos, will step down from the role at the end of February due to ill health, with Laurence Stoclet appointed as chair.

In a statement from the Ipsos board of directors, the company said that Truchot has had digestive tract cancer for the past four years, “and that the recent evolution of his disease would require an increasing share of his attention and energy”.

Truchot will step down on 28th February, and said he intended to remain a director of the board and the main shareholder. He has been appointed as chairman emeritus.

Stoclet has been at Ipsos since 1998 and a member of the board since 2002, and until 2022 was on the company’s executive team, first as chief financial officer and then from 2010 as deputy chief executive officer.

Stoclet will take up her duties as chair of the board of directors on 1st March 2026.

The board has also appointed Anne-Marie Couderc as lead independent director. Couderc has been a member of the board of directors since 20th June 2025, and is also chair of the company’s Appointments and Compensation Committee.
