US — Data and market intelligence provider to capital markets and corporate professionals Ipreo has acquired financial services industry data provider Discovery Data.
Discovery Data provides a single consolidated view of the financial service industry including 34,000 firms and over 2m professionals and is used to assist with sales marketing recruitment, data management and analytics and its acquisition will combine it with Ipreo’s Bigdough dataset offering.
“The acquisition of Discovery Data represents a strategic expansion of one of our core competencies: accurate and comprehensive firm and people data,” said Ipreo CEO Scott Ganeles.
Discovery Data CEO Bob Herrmann will join Ipreo’s executive committees and run the asset & wealth management division of the combined company.
