IDC: Double digit growth expected for analytics services

US — Global business analytics services spending will reach an estimated $70.8bn by 2016, according to market intelligence provider International Data Corporation (IDC).

IDC said that a lack of internal analytics resources coupled with the pace of technology development would see a five-year compound annual growth rate of 14.4%.

“Talent gap and lack of knowledge base in the analytics space will continue to force businesses to rely on service providers to fulfil their business analytics needs in the near future,” said Ali Zaldi, IDC’s senior research analyst for IT consulting and systems integration services.
