Hershey’s to fund university’s sensory science lab
Harrisburg University will run taste tests of confectionery products, including Hershey’s, at the lab. Results will be integrated with sensory testing work carried out at the company’s own technical centre at its headquarters.
Dan Azzara, Hershey’s senior vice president of global research and development, said: “This will be an exciting partnership that will keep us closely connected with consumers and influence future Hershey products as we develop innovative new forms to meet the needs of consumers.”
The university plans to complete the lab in February.
