Healthcare specialist WorldOne opens Tokyo office

JAPAN— Healthcare market research and data collection agency WorldOne has opened an office in Tokyo, which will be led by Katsuhiko Niga and Takahito Asano.

The Tokyo premises is the firm’s eighth global office and follows the establishment of a base in Brazil earlier this year and the opening of the firm’s Asian headquarters in Hong Kong in 2008.

CEO Peter Kirk (pictured) said: “The opening of of our Tokyo office will further accelerate our panel development in Japan, a highly specialised market.”

WorldOne said that the Japanese healthcare market is the second largest in the world and has one of the largest pharmaceutical industries outside the US and Europe.

Kirk added: “Niga-san and Asano-san bring to WorldOne invaluable insight into Japan’s complex medical industry. Utilising their established relationships with numerous key opinion leaders, hospitals, pharmacies, and medical technology developers, we can expedite the development of our Asian resources to meet increased demand in the region.”
